ABOUT US
We are a group based out of Roanoke, VA playing a wide range of music including Swing, R&B, Latin, Pop, Rock, and Jazz. Led by Les Brown, 40 year musician, members of the group include many of the finest musicians and vocalists in Southwest Virginia . The Stardusters have been playing together for 15 years and are a versatile group that can meet any party's needs and/or budget with expertise and professionalism.
FULL ORCHESTRA - There is nothing like the great sound of a full orchestra in black tie to make an unforgettable formal event or wedding. This is a 15-piece orchestra typically consisting of 5 saxes, 3 trumpets, 3 trombones, piano, drums, guitar, bass, and vocalist. Complement your formal event with the smooth sounds of Glenn Miller, the Dorsey brothers or the modern Big Band sound of Brian Setzer, for ballroom dancing and/or swing, this band will make your event a hit.
10 PIECE GROUP - This group consisting typically of 10 members can get you some of the sound and effect of the full orchestra at a reduced budget level and is ideal for any event from informal to formal. Some examples of events that this group has played include dance clubs and private parties.
PARTY BAND - This group with horns consisting typically of 6 members can give you a real varied mix of music with a large repertoire of new swing, R&B, pop, and rock, but can also retain the traditional swing and jazz sound to suit any setting.
SMALL GROUP - similar to the party band but for smaller events or parties, features live band sound but suited to smaller spaces and audience.
